BUILDING TRANSFORMATION.

JPC Architects gave this existing office building in Bellevue a major face lift and transformed into a laser eye surgery center. The three-level building has exam rooms, offices and a lobby with a 12-foot ceiling. The room containing the laser is framed by two banks of windows, making it a focal point of the clinic. Work involved remodeling and expanding the building to about 5,500 sf. Most of the space is used for the vision clinic, with about 1,200 sf of leasable space including a private restroom and entrance. Upgrades were made to the site, structure, architectural elements, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. For the exterior, HardiePanel and cedar planks were used over rain screen, with aluminum curtainwall, storefront, entry systems, and new flat membrane roof mixed with existing shingle roofing.
