PARISIAN MARKETPLACE MEETS INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE.

We designed Sur La Table’s new space to take advantage of the Seattle skyline, visible from the 6100 Building. The demonstration kitchen, a focal point near reception, was located in the center of the space. A vista of the mock-store is visible at the other end. The common kitchen was strategically located on the lower floor to enhance movement in the space. Coffee stations were splashed throughout the space and designed so that staff could test new products at the different stations.

The design concept was that of a Parisian marketplace and an industrial warehouse with weathered wood floors and open to structure ceilings.

Unique features to this space include a full commercial demonstration kitchen the chef uses every day to test recipes that employees sample. This space is also used as a gathering space for staff events. Another feature is the mock store. This store has a full façade and is used to set-up product displays.
