A COHESIVE AND ENERGIZING SPACE.
General Electric wanted a space that had a tech feel with a modern Northwest aesthetic, and it was important to bring the outdoors inside. We accomplished this through use of materials such as woods and stones as well as through the use of colors such as blues and greens. In addition, a back-lit glass wall panel nature graphic is a backdrop for GE’s lively new game room and break area.
GE’s new 2-floor 49,000 sf office hosts a completely open office with workstations located at the perimeter to allow for the most daylight. This was a large contrast to their previous office space which was fully comprised of all-enclosed private offices.
A 2-story communicating stair was designed to create a more cohesive space by providing easy access between the floors, and pops of color were brought in to energize certain spaces.
