Seattle based tech company Avvo is an industry frontrunner in providing immediate online legal assistance at affordable prices. With our design and architectural knowledge, Avvo now has a space that not only reflects their unique company culture but also provides its staff with a comfortable, inviting, and collaborative work environment. Avvo desired a work space with a comfortable and semi-residential feel, which we responded to by strategically selecting furniture and tailoring light levels and hues to push a residential feeling in the space. Glass was used throughout the space to create a sense of transparency and openness. To keep a tailored feel to the space, the use of neutral materials, understated carpet and warm wood tones were utilized with the occasional hint of Italian influence through tile and light fixtures to pay homage to the company’s namesake. A highlight of the space is a carpet of celebrity mug shots running down a hallway on each floor in varying colors to playfully connect the design with the company’s focus on the legal profession.
