Parametrix is a an engineering, planning and environmental services firm in Puyallup, WA. This tenant improvement is an excellent example of turnkey scenario at its best. The architect, landlord, tenant, and contractor worked together to complete the project on time and on budget. One unique aspect of the site was the existing steel structure that was incorporated into the design for tenant’s space. The design intent was to expose the structure and contrast the raw steel with the new construction. The decision to expose the steel was to reduce the amount of materials used in construction to hide it and showcase a portion of what Parametrix does, structural engineering.
