EFFICIENT AND COMFORTABLE.
University of Washington’s Husky Hall is a creative adaptive reuse of a physical rehabilitation facility built in the late 1960’s. The facility was completely remodeled to accommodate efficient and comfortable faculty offices and to serve as a welcoming orientation center for prospective students and visitors. The offices are housed in what were originally resident suites. These suites went through an extensive renovation and upgrade to create highly supportive shared office environments for the faculty. At the entrance is a centralized and approachable ‘welcome’ desk where visitors are directed to resources such as the adjacent cashier’s office, Admissions and Registration offices, faculty offices, administrative offices, a multi-purpose room, and student amenities.
